SCANDALS GALORE
The deputy president, William Ruto has of late been kept really been busy trying to keep his reputation clean off the dirt and stink of corruption. One of the most embarrassing of these incidents is when children of Langata road primary school faced the wrath and violence of the riot police who broke up there demonstration against alleged grabbing of there school playground by some unscrupulous individuals. It would be very sad and embarrassing if none other than the deputy president of Kenya is involved in cases of corruption like land grabbing. And remember that the Langata road primary school case is not the first land grabbing case in which William Ruto’s name has been mentioned. Let us hope that his recent attempts to clear his name are honest and truthful if only for the Kenyan public to have trust in the government of Kenya. Then again we are living in Kenya where the culture of those in power is that of “it is our time to eat”.
MEDIOCRITY EXPOSED BY THE RAINS
The rains currently pounding the country have brought both blessings and curses alike to many. Some of the people who must be cursing the rains are the Nairobi county governor Mr Evans Kidero and his Nairobi count government. Although the way they behave I sometimes doubt if they care at all. The rains have exposed the mess that is Nairobi Counties drainage and sewage system. The floods that have been accompanying each heavy downpour have uncovered the mess that is the failed drainage system, which had been swept under the carpet. Let’s hope that this time round they will take their work seriously and do something about the whole drainage and sewage system, now and in the years to come.
